The Song of "Weeds"

ShareI love the songs that are picked out for each episode of Showtime’s Emmy-nominated Weeds. But, it’s the title track that I still get a kick out of – Malvina Reynolds’s “Little Boxes”: Little boxes, on the hillside/ Little boxes made of ticky-tacky/ Little boxes on the hillside/ Little boxes, all the same/ There’s a [...]

Todd Solondz's Palindromes

ShareI’m writing this entry because of the Aviva’s theme song that plays throughout Todd Solondz’s Palindromes. It is haunting and fitting for the movie’s theme of an adolescent child who’s seeking her purpose by a desiring need to get pregnant. Palindrome is a film where the protagonists is played by various actresses of different ages [...]

Still Bloggin' Now… Winchester and Forward.

ShareAnd, here I am, with another apology for being so erratic when it comes to “blogging”. In such a fast paced, information age, I must be slippin’. I should be blogging every day! But I will try to pick up the pace, and run with it… Anyways, speaking of being behind, the following post is [...]

Open Comments

ShareAfter years of being closed to public scrutiny, I’ve decided to allow public comments on my blog. My initial reservations with doing so stems from the pervasive name callings, adolescent bickering, and bad grammar usage that populate comment sections (as well as forums). But, what the hell, my blog contains such usage of ignorance itself [...]
