Millions yearn for immortality who don’t know what to do with themselves
on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I’m about to leave for L.A. today for this weekend because I need to get away from the Net life. Only a few brief things to keep you busy for your visit here at rayhom.com.

The rise in “riceboy/ricegirl lingo” among the youth is apparently getting annoying for most literate people. dO yAw tHiNK Itz atTrAKdiVe Ta tALk LiKe dIsH? But anyways, I came across the following definition:

eye dialect (eye-DY-uh-lekt) noun: Unusual or nonstandard spelling to represent an uneducated or youthful speaker or to convey dialectal or colloquial speech.

This was according to Wordsmith at Wordsmith.org. You can sign up for their word-a-day free service. Go for it you illiterate muddaphugghas!

Here’s an interesting article in Apartment 107 about the issue entitled “WhY Do PeePo TAWk LIkE DiSH???“.

Clive Barker's Tortured SoulsI’ve finally got my hands on all of the Clive Barker’s Tortured Souls figure series (with the help of Jerry, thanks!). Besides being articulately sculpted with beautiful results, each of the six figures include a chapter in the Tortured Soul novelette written by Clive Barker himself. It’s pretty good stuff with a new angle on what it means to be Immortal.

As you can see, I’m a Clive Barker fan… if you haven’t read Cabal, Weaveworld, or the Imajica epic series, you’re missin’ out! But I’d recommend starting with his collection of short stories entitled the Books of Blood I, II, & III — “Wherever we are open, we are red all over.” And of course, you can’t leave this planet one day without having red Hellbound Heart which inspired his Hellraiser movie series. Check out more about the Tortured Souls series at Spawn.com.
