The future of my AI goals…
As I move forward, trying to make my next career move, into the AI tech space, there’s one area, that I’m almost getting a foothold in… will take a bit of more time, but I do feel I will get there: vertical microdramas. It’s an intriguing industry that will shape the future of content, I strongly believe. I won’t mention the companies that I am aiming for (or maybe I’ll end up doing on my own). But, there was one case study, I created, that I want to share below. It was an exercise in creating a consistent character in a scene. I’ve been able to build character and environment reference sheets, and learning better workflow, as I create more content. I may have mentioned before, I won’t be working mostly in AI, as in the coming years, the tech will form the next phase, in the industry, it will be hybrid. Check out my portfolio at rayhom.ai
For more context, the video was born out of an image, that I had created a couple of years ago, on MidJourney. I was crafting the perfect space princess, that would lead a space army. This was the fav, of the group of creation. Meet princess Serai. I may turn it into a series, but we shall see, as I work on more possible projects.
Sharyn is Still, Still, Still Hard to Get
As much as I harp about Sharyn Maceren a.k.a. S-Factor, I will continue harping! I got to meet up with her, at Freestyle at the Lake, part of her DreamLife tour, early June. I’ve been editing and posting to my IG, as I was backed up with a bunch of videos, that I’ve been meaning to post. I think I’m all caught up, actually. There’s always more content, but I’m not losing sleep anymore, as I’m at the current good pace, and even making the time to post this on here rayhom.com. I’ve been finding obscure 70s and 80s flicks, utilizing mostly ChatGPT, that’s been stuck, in my brain. There was one where I remember as a paralyzed blonde woman, laid across a wooden table, as an old lady is cackling over her. The blonde woman is able to fight the paralyzation effect, and escape out of the room, running through the house, hid inside a dark room, turned on the light bulb, only to find a room full of body parts. With ChatGPT (and, my buddy, Anthoney), we were able to track down the film to be Warlock Moon (1973). It’s on Tubi. The odd thing is, that I remember it differently. The body parts scene happens before the paralyzation scene, and the woman isn’t blonde. I remember a lot of red lighting, but the only thing red were candles and blood, otherwise, it’s a mute colored low-budget knock off of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Fun fact, Tobe Hooper secretly screened Warlock Moon, to confirm that it’s not the same as his infamous film.
Another film, that’s been stuck in my brain, is about a group of sexy Asian women, who seduce men, and turn into snakes to go in for the kill. I often remember it taking place in a high tower building. With ChatGPT, again, we were able to narrow the film down to the 1974 film, Snake Queen. It’s nowhere to be found, online, except for some obscure Asian site. But, I was only able to find it using a few alternative Chinese titles, that ChatGPT was able to provide me, before I could search and track it down. And, I had mixed it up with another film, Calamity of Snakes (which is on Tubi), which is about a hoard of snakes overtaking a high rise tower building.
But my biggest find…
For decades, I always remember shooting a scene, for a movie, at my grammar school, Garfield school, in San Francisco. Got paid $40 cash, for it. But I was too young to inquire what even was going on, only to remember the camera man was shooting downwards onto my school playground. I could never figure out what the movie was but the memory always lingered in my mind.
Recently, because of my love of supernatural possession car movies (“The Car” and “Carrie,” comes to mind), Amazon Prime recommended me,”The Hearse”. Thinking I could chill for the night, I’ll give it a watch. The beginning scene opens on the grammar school. And lo and behold, I found me in that movie!
